Deputy Director for Research, Policy, and Legislation, California Workforce Investment Board

Daniel Rounds is the Deputy Director for Research, Policy, and Legislation at the California Workforce Investment Board where he is the lead staff tasked with working with State Plan partners to develop the WIOA State Plan. Prior to that he was Senior Policy Analyst for Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson, and Principal Consultant for Workforce and Labor Policy at the Senate Office of Research. While in the State Senate he helped draft numerous workforce bills designed to align workforce and education policy with labor market dynamics and encourage in investment in workforce training.
