Marketing Toolkit

COLLATERAL

The collateral in the Contract Education Toolkit has been designed to be customizable to your college’s identity, program offerings, and core business messages. We hope these documents will be of value when making presentations to new prospects, partners, and industry organizations.

The collateral files were created in Adobe InDesign. Click here for information about working with the InDesign files »

The collateral files provided for download were created in Adobe InDesign. If you have an older version of InDesign, we have provided a .idml file that you can use for editing and customization the templates. When working with the InDesign files, it is important to keep the content of each parent folder intact. To follow is a screen shot of the contents of one of the InDesign folders.

Screen shot

For example, if you were to move the “Links” folder out of the parent folder, the high-resolutions images in that folder would no longer be linked to the main InDesign collateral document. This would cause problems when printing your exported PDF file.

If you do not have a subscription to the Adobe InDesign, the PDF document can be opened in MS Word, but this not an optimal way to edit these documents as you may lose some formatting.

The most important thing is to not be overwhelmed. We can provide some support to help you. We want to make sure you have all the new collateral you need to be successful. If you have questions or need help, please contact:

Style Guide

Style Guide

You will find a style guide document in the Toolkit. The style guide identifies all colors and fonts used in the collateral templates and gives an example of a customized document. Additionally, it contains helpful directions for using the proper logo files types and for preparing a document for printing.

Sales Folder

Sales Folder

The contract education sales folder was designed to be used by any college. If you wish to customize it with your college’s logo, or make any changes to the text or layout, you can do so by downloading the InDesign files that are in the Toolkit--but you will be responsible for finding your own print vendor and paying for printing.

Printing
Each college is responsible for printing their own collateral. The one exception is the new contract education sales folder. Quantities of the sales folder have been printed and can be obtained by contacting Faithe. Please note: If you customize the sales folder with the files in the Toolkit, you will be responsible for finding your own print vendor and paying for printing.

Additional Collateral Development
If you have a program or industry that is not represented by a template in the Toolkit, we will take requests for the development of additional collateral. All requests for new collateral must pertain to contract education programs and topics. Please contact Faithe Briley with your requests.

The Opportunity
For community colleges to become essential catalysts to California’s economic recovery and jobs creation at the local, regional and state levels.

The Strategy
Doing What MATTERS for jobs and the economy is a four-pronged framework to respond to the call of our nation, state, and regions to close the skills gap. The four prongs are:

  • Give Priority for Jobs and the Economy
  • Make Room for Jobs and the Economy
  • Promote Student Success
  • Innovate for Jobs and the Economy
